Before you start

MODI is an AI-powered educational assistant. It can make mistakes, so check important information with trusted learning materials or your teacher.

MODI processes information needed to provide your account, learning tools, saved conversations, document features, and support. Uploaded documents and conversations are handled as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Temporary Chat is kept separately from your saved conversation history and is designed to expire. Temporary messages are not added to normal student history or Admin conversation history.

Do not enter highly sensitive personal information unless it is needed for your learning question. Use MODI respectfully and safely: do not use it to harm, threaten, cheat, or share someone else’s private information.

Use MODI as a learning aid. AI answers are not guaranteed facts or official school, exam-board, or SQA material.

Agreement status

You can see whether you accepted the current agreement, its version and acceptance date in Settings under About MODI after you sign in. The server records the authenticated account UID, exact version and timestamp. A new required version may ask you to agree again. Acceptance does not remove statutory privacy rights.

Temporary Chat

Temporary messages and files are stored separately from normal saved history and expire after 24 hours without activity or 48 hours total. Scheduled cleanup removes expired copies. Do not use this feature to store information you need to keep.

Accepting this agreement is a condition of using the MODI student application. It is a record of agreement to the service terms and acknowledgement of the linked policies; it is not described as GDPR consent.
